Singtel Beats Earnings Forecasts as Optus and Digital Arm Drive Growth
By TechShots Studio

Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) reported a higher-than-expected Q1 underlying net profit of S$831 million ($649 million), beating market estimates of S$746 million. Bottom-line momentum was propelled by a 14% earnings surge at Australian subsidiary Optus, a 29% boost at enterprise AI arm NCS, and strong gains from regional associates, offsetting soft performance in domestic Singapore operations.
