Drops of Relief: Amazon Hits ‘Water Positive’ Milestone Early in India

Amid global pressure over resource-heavy AI infrastructure, Amazon announced it has turned "water positive" in India, a year ahead of schedule. The company now returns 120% of the water it consumes across its offices, warehouses, and data centers. To combat regional water stress, Amazon clarified that its Indian data centers do not use water for cooling, instead relying on rainwater harvesting and community watershed restoration.
