South Korea Unveils 'Seven SEEDs' Tech Strategy, Targeting 2030 Moon Landing

South Korea announced its ambitious "Seven Major SEED" initiative to establish next-generation economic growth engines beyond AI and semiconductors. Chaired by President Lee Jae Myung, the plan targets a domestic moon landing by 2030, a 100-qubit quantum computer by 2029, and commercial small modular reactors (SMRs) alongside brain-computer interfaces by 2035, while reinforcing critical material supply chains.
