Samsung Electronics is restructuring its U.S. consumer electronics unit as it relocates its headquarters from Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, to Plano, Texas. The move impacts roughly 839 roles across both locations, with 739 jobs affected in New Jersey and around 100 in Texas. While many employees were offered relocation options, others face layoffs as Samsung aligns operations around Texas’s expanding technology and AI hub.
