EU Takes Aim at TikTok: Platform Charged Over Child Safety Risks

EU regulators charged TikTok with breaching the Digital Services Act for failing to protect young users. The European Commission's preliminary findings revealed that default account settings allow minors to make profiles public, exposing children to cyberbullying, unwanted contact, and online predators.
