Silicon Independence: Meta Triggers Production of In-House AI Chips

Meta is launching production of its custom AI chip, Artemis, this September to break its reliance on Nvidia hardware. Manufactured by TSMC, the new processor aims to double Meta’s internal computing capacity. By commercializing its own silicon, the tech giant seeks to aggressively slash massive infrastructure costs while accelerating its rapidly expanding generative AI workloads.
