Canada updated its study permit assessment guidelines, requiring immigration officers to scrutinize both the amount and origin of applicants' funds. While overall financial thresholds remain unchanged—such as C$22,895 in living expenses for single applicants outside Quebec—officers will now conduct broader checks across all applications, requesting deeper employment records, tax documents, and up to six months of bank statements before issuing visas.
