Uber & UK AI Startup Wayve Launch Level‑4 Autonomous Trials in London
Uber is partnering with London-based AI startup Wayve to begin Level 4 (fully driverless) autonomous vehicle trials on UK public roads, targeting spring 2026 under the new Automated Vehicles Act. The pilot, which requires no safety drivers, marks Uber’s largest European robotaxi test—leveraging Wayve’s camera‑radar‑lidar AI model.
