Commencement Chaos: Stanford Students Walk Out on Google CEO Sundar Pichai

More than 200 Stanford graduates staged a walkout during Google CEO Sundar Pichai’s commencement address. Waving Palestinian flags and chanting protests, the students targeted Google’s $1.2 billion "Project Nimbus" cloud-computing contract with the Israeli government. While Pichai intentionally avoided tech and AI topics to evade career-related backlash, he could not bypass the demonstration, later finishing his speech once protesters left to hold an alternative "People’s Commencement."
