Summer’s Sweetest Sky: India Set to Witness Giant "Strawberry Moon"

The first full moon of summer, the Strawberry Moon, peaks globally on June 29, 2026. For skywatchers in India, it will be at its brightest around 5:26 AM IST on June 30. Named by Native Americans to mark the wild strawberry harvest, the moon won't actually be pink. Instead, traveling low across the sky, it will take on a stunning golden-amber hue and appear unusually massive.
